I had to pause this video a few times to allow myself to calm down.

This isn't new. I started researching the genesis of "new math" and "everyday math" back in 2007 when I saw this awfulness in the private schools. I was shocked - SHOCKED - at what I learned from sites like http://www.nychold.com/em.html, http://www.lit.net/orschools/critique5_too.pdf, http://www.city-journal.org/html/eon_3_7_03mc.html, and http://www.illinoisloop.org/math.html. (For math, based on my research, the best I found was Singapore Math - see also http://www.illinoisloop.org/mathprograms.html#singapore.)

I learned about this video via Can You Solve For 32-12? Probably Not... These college students and professors could not solve this simple math equation... 32-12 = ?
