You barely get 16mbps(when it works) down with 35euros by telekom in DSL and dsl is the predominant way to get acces to internet in Germany dont tell me about theyr fiber optics most of Bavaria and more than half of germany doesnt have acces to fiber optics. the 50mbps option is around 35 and 40 by 1&1 and Telekom. Cable is indeed cheaper with higher bandwith but cable is available only in the north of germany and in the East most of the gereman households are stuck with 16mbps dsl.. I cry everytime when i use the internet in Germany.. i dont complain for a 50mpbs speed.. but it doesnt fucking work the dsl is germany is catastrophic you have to reset the router 10x per day.
